Hawaii to Haiti

On Jan 12, 2010, the Haitian capital of Port Au Prince was struck by a magnitude 7.0 earthquake that killed more than 230,000 people and made over a million people homeless. In the summer of 2010 a team of people from New Hope Diamond Head in Honolulu HI, headed to Haiti to serve and share the love of Jesus. Out of that trip, Mark Olson felt called to serve God in Haiti full time – helping the Haitian people to recover from the devastation of the 2010 earthquake and to find Christ and serve Him.

For seven years Mark served Haiti as a missionary under his home church in Honolulu and other organizations. Then December 2017 Hawaii to Haiti became an official 501c3 charity registered in the United States and Mark continues working under that organization. Mark and his wife, Mari-France, have a home in Cabaret, Haiti, but are currently serving at Youth with a Mission (YWAM) Azua in the Dominican Republic due to the current turmoil in Haiti. Their ministry extends to all parts of Haiti and to Haitians living in the Dominican Republic – teaching seminars, ministering in various churches, building homes and churches for Haitian communities and helping the Haitian people to find Christ and grow in their relationship with Him.

Follow the amazing journey that God continues to take them on……
